“People think it’s just coastlines and tennis and, you know, sailboats, but that’s not the Rhode Island I came from,” Cory Hueston, better known musically as Hueston , says of his home state in NBC’s “American Song Contest” premiere.
The show, which is the States’ answer to the overseas hit “Eurovision,” presents a musical artist for each U.S. state (plus Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico), asks them to perform an original song and then leaves it up to the audience to decide which state will earn the top prize.

Legendary electronic music outfit The Crystal Method are about to release their seventh studio album. ‘The Trip Out’ will be out next Friday, April 15, via Ultra Records but before that one of the album’s extracts will be premiered in style, on April 11th.
This performance comes in the context of the American Song Contest, in which 56 artists will perform representing 50 states, 5 U.S. territories and the nation’s capital.
